Transitioning from a crib to a bed

According to Kathleen Turner of the baby center; A child should be ready for transition to a bed when the little excerpt artist start finding way to climb out of the crib, or when he or she is three feet tall or more.
Many parents make the move when their babies start climbing out of the crib, but they really should not rush out and buy a toddler bed. You can buy yourself some time by lowering the crib mattress help keep that little Houdini imitator in check. Adjust the crib mattress as low as possible to make “escaping” far more difficult.
Roberts went on to say that some children have a more difficult time than others making the transition as they may be very attached to their crib. She further stated that this trays is more common among first borns and that children with siblings will find it easier because they want to imitate the actions of their older siblings thinking that a crib is for “babies” ha..She recommended putting the toddler bed in the same spot that the crib used to be.
Roberts, also said to avoid making the transition when there are other events going on in the child’s life, going out to school or the arrival of a new baby is stressful enough. Timing should be based on the child’s readiness rather than the need to get rid of a crib. Be sure to exercise patience and do not rush the child.
Once you are certain that they are ready, you can try purchasing a toddler bed, one benefit of thong this is that the crib mattress will fit the toddler bed perfectly, saving you some money.Crib bedding for the most part is interchangeable with toddler bed bedding.
Alternatively, you may want to purchase a twin or a full sized bed. if you do this, be sure to purchase guard rails to keep the new “big kid” from falling off. It takes a while for then to develop the cognitive motor skills to avoid falling off the bed.

well if you have sheets then the cmotorfer shouldn’t touch you really. Also polyester is easy to clean and probably won’t require drycleaning you should be able to launder it at home which would be nice but you should check it out at the store and touch it yourself to see if you like it. You might also be concerned about whether it is too thick or too thin.References :
